Ever since DeMar DeRozan joined the Chicago Bulls, that franchise has set its eyes on the NBA championship. While even Derrick Rose gave the Bulls some title hopes in his time there, he could not materialize it into a championship ring. However, Bulls supporters are now optimistic that DeRozan could lead them all the way.
This team currently leads the Eastern Conference standings. This would not have been possible without the support of their franchise player Zach Lavine and relatively recent additions: Lonzo Ball and Nikola Vucevic. All these players on paper have incredible records. However, many experts questioned DeMar’s fit in this roster at the start of this season. So this run of form is a testimony to how wrong those experts were. And DeMar used the words of the Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, to convey how the team felt about those critics.

DeMar DeRozan silences haters using a Michael Jordan reference
After dropping two buzzer-beaters in back-to-back games, DeMar showed the NBA how capable he is to deliver in the clutch. While talking to ESPN’s Malika Andrews, DeMar expressed how the roster responded to the critics.
He said, “As a competitor, you always want to beat anybody at anything that they say you can’t do… it’s like when somebody says you can’t do something, you want to go out there and prove them wrong. You know I think that’s just a motivational factor that you could use and you know I’ve definitely seen it. My teammates seen it, and we took it personally.”

The Chicago Bulls are currently sitting firm, holding the top seed of the Eastern Conference. And a large credit of that goes to DeMar and Lavine. The duo has struck the league by storm and has fans reminiscing about Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan.
