Charles Barkley Disturbed Michael Jordan Fans With This Hot LeBron James Take

Many people regard Michael Jordan as the greatest basketball player of all time. The six-time NBA champion has won all individual and team accolades that an NBA player can only dream of. However, still, there are some who feel otherwise and rate LeBron James as the greatest to grace the game. The GOAT debate is a never-ending debate.

Michael Jordan’s former teammate in the ‘Dream Team’, Charles Barkley, has a lot of respect for Jordan. Barkley and Jordan had combined together and helped the US Men’s Basketball Team clinch the gold at the 1992 Olympics.

Charles Barkley though has never won an NBA title and remains one of the unluckiest players of all time. However, that hasn’t stopped him from sharing his opinion on the LeBron-Jordan debate. Barkley recently explained how LeBron James is the most unique player in the NBA.

An old video of Charles Barkley has recently resurfaced on YouTube. In the old video, Charles Barkley was asked if LeBron could get a ‘super status’ if he played during the 90s.

“Yes, LeBron James,” Charles Barkley replied.

“I’ve been in the NBA for over 30 years now. There’s always been a player who you can compare somebody to. LeBron James is the first player that I’ve never seen another player that I can compare to. There’s always been six-eight guys who were super talented who were terrific players.”

“They all weighed like 220-230 pounds. I don’t think we’ve ever had a guy. Tracy, Scotty Pippen, we’re all guys six-seven, six-eight, great defenders, great scorers, very athletic. But LeBron outweighs those guys about 30 pounds and we talk about it all the time like ‘oh man, who this is a freak of nature’.”

LeBron James is a monster when it comes to playing and Charles Barkley has always been in awe of the Lakers star and has praised him on several occasions. However, LeBron has received his fair share of criticism from ‘Chuck’. Barkley has previously criticized LeBron for ‘stacking his teams’ and not sticking with the team like Antetokounmpo and Nowitzki.

Barkley has agreed that LeBron could get a ‘super status’ in the 90s as well if he played. But he also thinks that Michael Jordan ranks above LeBron in the GOAT debate. In fact, Chuck feels that Kobe Bryant ranks ahead of LeBron in the debate. However, it’s still great to see Barkley giving credits where it’s due.
