The Milwaukee Bucks suffered a loss against the Houston Rockets in their second seeding game. Thus, it was the responsibility of Giannis Antetokounmpo to restore the winning mentality into the team. As the Bucks took on a wounded Brooklyn Nets, a second-quarter incident caught everyone’s attention.

Giannis is an athlete who never tends to give in against the mind games played by his opponents. ‘The Greek Freak’ is all work and no play. Very rarely do you see the Bucks’ best player lose his cool on the court. But today was one such instance where he turned wild.

With about ten minutes remaining in the second quarter, Nets’ Jeremiah Martin attempted a three-point from the left-wing. As Martin made the shot, 22-year-old Nets player Donta Hall was inside the restricted area with ‘The Greek Freak’, guarding him.

Though Hall never got the rebound, he aggressively nudged Giannis with his forearm, which pushed the reigning MVP to the ground. This didn’t sit well with Giannis, who felt Hall had no reason to push him to the ground as the rebound was way out of his reach.

Moreover, a furious Giannis got up and wanted to confront Donta Hall. But before anything rough could happen, the referees and teammates gathered to the spot and broke down the scuffle.

It is uncharacteristic for a player like Giannis to get up-in-arms against his opponent. As Donta Hall pushed him down, Giannis got up and yelled, “Watch out. I’m gonna fu** you,” at Hall. The refs cooled the Bucks star down and both players were awarded personals.

Giannis has been unstoppable in the bubble

Before entering the NBA Bubble, Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a cryptic message on social media about the responsibilities that he has to fulfill. Little did we know that he is all fired up and ready to take the bubble by storm.

In the two games that he played against the Celtics and Rockets, ‘The Greek Freak’ put up insane displays of dominance. Giannis now averages 36.0 points, 16.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists in two games inside the Orlando Bubble.

Who knows what we might see from the talented 25-year-old in the playoffs. The major challenge for Giannis this year will be to guide the Bucks to the NBA finals. They came so close last year, but fell at the hands of the Raptors in the conference finals.

Is it redemption time for the Bucks?
