The NBA has cleared LeBron James ahead of schedule to return to action for the Los Angeles Lakers. In accordance with the health and safety protocols of the NBA, fans were expecting him to miss multiple games over the next 10 days. However, after registering multiple negative tests with the NBA, they have given him the green light to return on Friday.
Now, fans can expect to have him back when the Lakers face their city rivals, the Clippers on Friday.
This news comes as a delight to the Lakers franchise and fans as their number one player returns for a crucial game. After returning from Sacramento, LeBron had multiple tests before he was given the go-ahead. This seems to be the fishy thing that LeBron was referring to in his cryptic tweet.

Is this what LeBron James meant in his cryptic tweet?
A day after the NBA announced LeBron would be missing more games because he went into the health and safety protocol, the internet went crazy. Amidst that chaos, LeBron confused the fans even more. He tweeted this a day after entering the protocol.
🤔Something is REAL 🐠 🐟 🎣 🐟🐠 going on
— LeBron James (@KingJames) December 1, 2021
As Shams mentioned, James did have an initial positive test. Since then, he was cleared after further testing. So LeBron was probably talking about that in his tweet.
Nevertheless, this development is a positive sign for NBA.

What does this mean for the Lakers?
The Lakers rallied back against the Sacramento Kings to blow them out by 25 points. That feat had happened in LeBron’s absence. Malik Monk stepped up during LeBron’s absence and took over the offensive load while dropping an efficient 22 points with a 50% field goal percentage.
If Monk maintains this consistency, then upon LeBron’s return, the Lakers finally start looking like a team here to win it all. LeBron will now no longer miss crucial games against the Clippers and Celtics. Is this finally the end of LeBron’s woes of missing games because of health reasons?
