Chicago Bulls were a force to reckon with during the 90s. Michael Jordan powered the Bulls to six NBA championships during that decade, writing his legacy in the history books.

The Bulls from the 90s have often been compared with the Warriors from the last decade. Other than 6 NBA champions, there’s one other thing that is common between those two teams: Steve Kerr.

Golden State Warriors dominated the last decade under Steve Kerr. The Warriors won three championships under Kerr and are still regarded by many as the greatest team assembled. The Warriors have always been title favorites since Kerr took the role as the head coach.
Steve Kerr was very underrated as a player and his contributions to the Bulls during their 2nd three-peat often go unnoticed. Kerr played an important role alongside Jordan and won three championships in the process. When the 2015 Warriors team that won the NBA visited the White House, where Barack Obama cracked a hilarious joke which mentioned Steve Kerr.
Barack Obama roasted Warriors while referring to Michael Jordan and the Bulls
Golden State Warriors, champions of 2015, were invited to the White House in 2016. They were honored by then-President Barack Obama. However, Barack had some banter for the Dub Nation. He trolled the Warriors by referring Kerr and Chicago Bulls.

“Now, it is rare to be in the presence of guys from the greatest team in NBA history,” Obama said. “So we’re pretty lucky today. Because we’ve got one of those players in the house. Steve Kerr from the 9th 1995-96 Chicago Bulls. It’s good to see you back (pointing towards Kerr).”

It was hilarious from Obama. However, it shouldn’t come as a surprise as Obama spent his early days in Chicago. Moreover, he worked as a community organizer and even taught law at the University of Chicago Law School during the 90s. It was at the same time the Bulls dominated the NBA. Obama probably grew up watching the Bulls, which eventually led him to roast the Warriors in 2016.
However, Obama did go on to praise the Warriors for their achievements. Steve Kerr had some banter reserved for the then-president as well, as he invited Obama to join the Warriors as a ‘free agent’ (referring to him finishing his term as the president).
