Presidential candidate for FCB, Joan Laporta has discussed Barcelona’s reported interest in the French  superstar, Paul Pogba. Speaking to Radio Catalunya, he also guaranteed the club will continue its success if he gets to power.

The candidate presided the Blaugrana from 2003 to 2010, during which the Catalans won their first treble under Pep Guardiola in 2009.

He was quoted as saying: “I guarantee Barca will win because we know how to develop sporting success.”

“Everyone thinks Pogba would be perfect for Barcelona,” Laporta told Radio Catalunya.

“It would also be great for him to play here. I have a good relationship with [Pogba’s agent Mino] Raiola, from when we signed Maxwell and [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic.”

The Blaugrana are currently facing a transfer ban that forbids them to make any transfer till January,16. A loop hole in the FIFA rules allowed Barca to purchase the players, but they won’t be able to debut for the club till the ban gets officially over.
