All these facts have made the Barcelona hierarchy sceptic of appointing him. As they believe that he won’t be accepted by the fans. And their fears aren’t unreasonable but maybe a little overcautious. Modern football has given enough examples of former rivals coming together to achieve greater feats. All that the Barcelona fans would demand from Mauricio Pochettino would be his loyalty. And Pochettino can be counted on that one given his long spell at Tottenham Hotspurs.
