Barcelona has been long linked to being a likely destination for Paul Pogba and it may finally come to fruition this summer. According to reports, the Spanish club is seriously considering to sign the French international following the departure of Andres Iniesta and Paulinho.
Pogba is reportedly unhappy at Manchester United and has had several bust-ups with manager Jose Mourinho over the course of the last season. The 25-year-old, who just won the World Cup was, however, on great form for the Les Blues throughout the Mundial. He even scored a goal in the final, in which they beat Croatia 4-2.

As per Spanish news outlet Don Balon, the management at Nou Camp have been in contact with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola. They have apparently been asked to pay 134 million pounds to fund the transfer, a price they consider a bit too hefty.

Rumors are also circulating that Real Madrid and Juventus are both keeping a keen eye on the Pogba situation and will be ready to pounce on if they have the chance. Ever since his world-record move to Manchester United in 2016, Pogba has flattered to deceive and has failed to put in consistent performances. Many fans and pundits blame his drop in form on Mourinho’s overtly defensive tactics which have shackled the player. It seems Pogba shares a similar view as well.

Barcelona has already signed Arthur and Clement Langley but according to SPORT writer Toni Juanmarti, they are still looking to add a big name before the season starts. The journalist said,” The club knows that Real Madrid will strengthen and they are thinking about answering. Paulinho’s exit leaves space for a first-class midfielder. The problem now is the price. The player wants to come but between the clubs, there is a difference of €50m.” Apparently, Leo Messi is a huge fan of Pogba and vice versa, so much so that the latter has even agreed to take a pay cut to make the move happen.
