Barcelona Could Look for a New Manager to Replace Ernesto Valverde

If you’re a Barcelona fan, and if you don’t rate Ernesto Valverde as the manager of your beloved club. Then you have two options, either stop following Barcelona or get used to Ernesto Valverde. This is because Valverde’s contract, which is running out at the end of the season, has a clause for an year’s extension, which can only he can exercise.

Ernesto Valverde’s stay at the Camp Nou can’t yet be marked as a success or failure. Inspite of two LaLiga titles that the former Athletic Club manager has won, his lack of attractive style, poor transfer decisions, incapability to rectify Barcelona’s overdependance on Lionel Messi, and two disastrous Champions League campaigns has underlined the fans’s disappointment in Valverde’s reign. And the reports in Spain states that the Barcelona hierarchy are hoping for the the Spanish tactican to exercise his option to extend his stay at the Camp Nou. Though that doens’t mean that the Spaniard is set to be offered a new contract in the summer. As the Barcelona hierarchy are willing to wait till the end of the season to review the situation.

Currently Valverde’s job might be secure, but the time for which it will be is yet unknown. They might look for alternatives if the results start deteriorating.

Barcelona currently sits at the top of the LaLiga points table tied with their arch rivals Real Madrid. In Champions League, they are pitted up against Napoli for their Round of 16 fixture.
