Tsitsipas has played amazingly well against two of the most legendary tennis players in the first two rounds at Wimbledon. He successfully made his way to the third round at Wimbledon after defeating Dominic Thiem and Andy Murray. Needless to say, both the wins did not come easy and definitely took a toll on his physical and mental health both.
He was also supposed to participate in mixed doubles along with his girlfriend Paula Badosa. But he couldn’t because of her injury which led to her early retirement from the tournament. After he was relieved from the mixed doubles, he expressed that he was happy not to participate in the mixed doubles. In an interview with Euro Sport, he added, “Mixed [doubles] is not a thing anymore, thank God. I prefer to live”.

The reason why he is happy to withhold from the mixed tournament is that he already has singles and men’s doubles to focus on. And another round of matches of mixed doubles would have made him feel too much.

Further in the same interview he also added that it never crossed his mind that he would have to play all three Slams in one event and it seems impossible for him now. He also said that when someone likes tennis too much, they want to be a part of all of the tournaments and events for as long as possible.
He also said he wanted to challenge himself in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles too. And that mixed doubles is his favorite as well. But having to focus on everything at one time was becoming too much for him.
