Petkovic retired from tennis at last year’s US Open. Since then, she has been an active member of The Tennis Channel. She contributes heavily to the Channel with her insightful tennis takes. In the meantime, she also has a crucial role to play in Rennae Stubbs’ TV show. Turns out, her dedication to the latter is off the charts!

Last year, in November, Rennae Stubbs launched her own show on Amazon Prime called ‘The Power Hour’. With already 175 episodes in nine months, the show seems to be doing exceedingly well. As a host and analyst, Stubbs has had several guests and other known tennis figures on her show. Andrea Petkovic falls under that bracket too.

Recently, Stubbs took to her Instagram to hail Petkovic. The German had to record a short clip of hers. To search for a good background, she kneeled in a parking lot that had beautiful bushes behind it. While she recorded herself, Stubbs also recorded her and added it to her Instagram story. The 52-year-old added a caption, “This is what true friendship is all about!!! @andreapetkovici kneeling on dirt in some random parking lot to do my show #ThePowerHour on @primevideo @sportstalkprime for me!! Girl I love you! ❤️”.

The unexpected but wholesome gesture from Petkovic was appreciated widely. She really values her friendship with Stubbs and supports her endeavors wholeheartedly. On the other hand, the show itself, though, is interesting in its own right.

What is Stubbs’ show all about?

Stubbs’ TV show is not just limited to tennis. She also weighed in on the American Women’s Soccer team in the ongoing women’s World Cup. As far as tennis is concerned, she does try to prioritize the cause of Americans players on her show. Hailey Baptiste featured in her TV show right after a historic Washington clash against Coco Gauff earlier this month. Billie Jean King, Daria Saville, and James Blake are among the other former and active players to have appeared in the show.
