Hours ago, a new episode of ‘Served With Andy Roddick’ dropped, where the former World Number 1 was asked about his partnership with Gauff. Further, he also went on to reveal how they bonded together.
Roddick mentioned, “Yeah, that was kind of another thing. I don’t want to be the only person in your existence that doesn’t ever want or need anything from you. And by the way, Brad started talking about it and it was out of the bag.”
Further, he went on to add, “I would’ve taken this to my grave. No one knew that we met up and frankly, it was weird because we were at a club and she came here. I didn’t travel to her.”

Roddick had high hopes for Gauff at the Australian Open. However, the American tennis sensation bowed out in the semifinal against the eventual champion, Aryna Sabalenka. As a result, Roddick was highly dejected.

During the same episode of the podcast, Andy Roddick also went on to reveal his feelings after Gauff’s loss. The latter was one of the favorites to win the title. But her journey ended in the last four.

Opening up about Gauff, Roddick said, “I was miserable When she lost in Australia. I did never in my life thought I’d be waking up at 3:30 watching.” Meanwhile, Gauff will look to come back strongly from her Australian Open disappointment.
