One of the most famous tennis couples in tennis history is Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf. They both have together achieved 30 Grand Slam titles and both of their fathers are also decoded stars. Agassi’s father, Emmanuel Agassi, was a well-known boxer and on the other hand, the 22-time Grand Slam champion’s father, Peter Graf, was a tennis coach.

However, the American tennis star recalled the time when both dads met for the first time and how things didn’t go the way they anticipated. The two tennis legends’ fathers unexpectedly clashed, and soon after that, they began to favor their child over others. Notably, in the end, a good bond was built between the former n0. 1’s father and father-in-law.
Andre Agassi recalled his father and father-in-law’s first meeting
In a throwback interview, the eight-time Grand Slam champion opened up about the time when he sat down with both of his dads and they kicked it off hilariously together. According to the former world number one, they both started debating over who’s got the better shot.
He said, “My dad decides to make a boxing analogy and he’s explaining how you know when you punch both feet need to get set you to throw your hands right. You like boxing. And then, Peter says ‘I think I would have knocked you out’ so my father responds knock me out. ‘You might have me a little bit on height and reach but I was quick’ so my dad starts bobbing and weaving right now.”

Moreover, in the same meeting, the 22-time Grand Slam champion’s dad took off his shirt and showed off his body. And, he was almost ready to play a shadowboxing match against each other. The incident stayed fresh in the former tennis legend’s mind as he mentioned every little detail briefly.

Back in the 1990s, the well-known tennis giants were top athletes in their respective circles. The women’s former number one had won 22 Grand Slam major titles. That was only surpassed by Serena Williams, and the American star has won eight major titles.
