Roger Federer was not active right before his retirement. However, he still was the highest-paid tennis player in 2022. Now that he is free of his commitments on the court, the player enjoys living in the multiple properties that he has amassed around the world with his family. The lavish lifestyle falls in alignment with his glorious career as well as the hefty wealth he has amounted to a career spanning 22 years. So much so, he has left his fellow tennis players like Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Maria Sharapova, and Rafael Nadal behind.

All these renowned tennis personalities have put their earnings into shaping comfortable lives for themselves and their families. However, Federer has broken all their records to have the most expensive property of them all.

The Swiss Maestro became the highest-paid tennis player in 2022. Despite not playing professionally, Federer topped the Forbes list of highest-paid tennis players, mainly owing to his high-end endorsements with Uniqlo, Mercedes, and others. In 2022 itself, he amassed a whopping $90 million.

However, he had decided to buy a property that he could make into his winter home. As the climate worsened in Switzerland in winter, Federer wanted to have a property in a warmer country. So, he went for a lavish penthouse in Dubai, which he secured for $16 million in 2014. In the most luxurious tower in Dubai, Le Reve (translates to The Heaven in French), Federer boasts of a serene view of the marina with a 6,100-foot of property.

Apart from that, the property has five bedrooms and a smart home system that can be used to control lighting and temperature throughout the home.

Added benefits include a personalized security system, and the residents can book a Ferrari, a helicopter, or even a personal jet. Moreover, he himself has taken part in the designing of the high-cut gym of the luxurious property.

Where Federer boasts of only one property costing $16 million, he also has two properties in Switzerland. He loves to spend his winters in Dubai.

While training there, he once stated, “I remember it was brutally hot, I think like 39 Celsius every day. But I had a good time practicing; it was peace and quiet, and we kind of enjoyed it here.”

Federer loved the property while training there. As reported by the Sun, he stated, “I was like, ‘You know, I think this works well for practice and leisure’. The next thing I knew, I had an apartment.”

Now, if we compare the properties of his fellow tennis players, the contrast is quite visible. Novak Djokovic has a mansion in Marbella, which is $10.4 million along with other properties around the world. Moving on, Rafael Nadal has a luxurious villa mansion in Mallorca which he got for a little over $4.3 million. After renovating the mansion, Nadal is residing there with his family. Moreover, he also has a $6 million 80 Sun Reef Catamaran, which incidentally costs more than his home.

Finally, when it comes to Serena Williams, she has bought a mansion in the dreamy Beverly Hills for $6.2 million. Maria Sharapova, on the other hand, has an $8.2 million ranch.
