Tennis power couple Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter will not be seen together in Wimbledon! After last year’s incredible partnership with each other, Boulter and Minaur set a hidden wish among people about wanting to see them play together more often. However, the British WTA star shares the saddening news of no mixed doubles this year. She surprised everyone as she wanted to discuss the reason “off the camera.”
Lawn Tennis Association, or LTA, shared a clip on the X platform where Jodie Burrage asked Boulter a pertinent question about the chances of her mixed doubles participation with beau Alex de Minaur.
She was quick to refute the possibilities, as she said, “I don’t think so. I know I am not sure it’s going to happen this year.” Burrage didn’t stop there and further tempted Boulter, saying how long they had waited to see the famous couple performing together and unleashing their magic in the British slam once again.

Boulter won her first clash at Wimbledon against Tatjana Maria 7(8)-6(6) and 7-5. After a great show on the singles Tour, the tennis fraternity also awaited her mixed doubles appearance with Alex de Minaur at Wimbledon.
The pair debuted their mixed doubles partnership last year at this Grand Slam. Speaking about how Minaur tried to convince his talented girlfriend, the Australian ATP star said, “I’ve been bugging her for a while to play. We said we would give it a go at least one time. It’s going to be exciting,”
Further revealing how “fun” it will be, Boulter said last year how she has been “prepping playing a lot of doubles this grass-court season for this mixed.” However, the Aussie player confirmed how Boulter was not prepared enough. Predicting Boulter as “a little bit rusty,” Minaur confirmed, “it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Katie Boulter, on the other hand, showed optimism last year. While she didn’t think “it’s going to test” their relationship as “it’s a totally different vibe going on the court with him.” Since Boulter mentioned that they “bring the best out of each other, in terms of tennis, on and off the court,” the tennis fraternity felt intrigued to see them perform together.
The duo performed well at last Wimbledon but lost to Belgium’s Joran Vliegen and China’s Xu Yifan by 3-6, 6-4, 6-7. Their last performance brought a lot of hope among people that they might appear on the grass court together again. However, that is not happening this time, as Boulter confirms.

Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur’s fantastic achievements reminded fans of Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf’s French Open victory in 1999. The duo started dating the same year. Given that Boulter and Minaur celebrated their fourth anniversary together, their victories on the same day inspired many youngsters.
Boulter’s admission of skipping Wimbledon mixed doubles with came as a bummer to Jodie Burrage, who waited to see the tennis power couple shine together on the court. Despite that heartbreak, we can hopefully see Boulter and Minaur show their respective talents individually in the singles matches.
