British tennis player Katie Swan took to her official Instagram story to showcase her love for Australian ATP star Alex Bolt and his successful selection for the upcoming Wimbledon. Swan shared an image of herself hugging Bolt, who was in tears after achieving this feat. “You did that @alex.bolt,” wrote Swan, adding a teary-eyed emoticon. She further shared another post of herself with Bolt and wrote, “wag life is stressful” with a laughing emoji that perfectly showcased her happiness about her boyfriend attending a prestigious major tour like Wimbledon.

This Australian tennis player defeated Switzerland’s Leandro Riedi by 6-7(2), 2-6, 7-6(7), 7-5, and 6-4 in the qualifying round to bag this chance. “You couldn’t write a better script for the journey I’ve had this week, I’m just super proud of my efforts to hang around in the match,”- said Bolt after pulling off an amazing performance in this three-and-a-half-hour match.

On the other hand, Bolt’s WTA star girlfriend seemed really excited to witness her beau’s performance on the British grass court. The duo has been delighting the tennis fans with adorable PDAs on Instagram. However, it is not clear when Swan and Bolt decided to give their romance a steady chance, as neither has made any official statement. Nevertheless, Swan is expected to attend Alex Bolt’s matches at Wimbledon since she is not participating in the Grand Slam.

However, this is not Bolt’s debut run at Wimbledon. He qualified for the men’s singles main draw in 2018 but had to exit after Kyle Edmund defeated him by 6-2, 6-3, and 7-5 in the first round. This Australian tennis player played doubles in the tournament that same year, partnering with Lleyton Hewitt. In 2021, Bolt again joined the British major tour but left in the second round after Cameron Norrie defeated him by 6-3, 6-1, and 6-2.

However, in this third selection, Alex Bolt has “got all the confidence in the world.” His post-victory statements at the qualifying round expressed his perspective about the upcoming Wimbledon.

This Australian ATP star has revealed a different yet commendable mindset about the approaching Slam. “Just super proud of my efforts just to hang around in the match,”- said Bolt. He further explained, “I’ve got all the confidence in the world right now. I shouldn’t even be in the tournament, so I’ve got nothing to lose.”

Bolt’s comment expressed that he was already charged up for the British Grand Slam event. Now that he has qualified for it, Bolt’s excitement has risen a lot showing signs that he might do great in the major tour. Given that he lost against Australia’s Rinky Hijikata by 6-7, and 6-7 at last year’s Wimbledon qualifier round, he must have been waiting for this victory.

He further said, “It means so much to be playing at Wimbledon, you really work at these moments and to be able to walk through those gates for a main draw match is something I’ve dreamt about my whole life,”
