What is the total prize money for the 2024 United Cup?

The total prize pool for the United Cup this year is $10 million. It will be split equally between the WTA and the ATP, along with points for the rankings. In addition to the prize money for the different stages, players can also earn a good sum based on their national and international rankings. For the participation fee, first, the national ranking is seen, and then the international ranking is seen to classify the player into one group of prize money.

Number 1 players nationally will be classified in the highest group, and then their international ranking will be used to set a participation fee for them. For number 1 and number 2 players, groups are further divided into 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-50, 51-100, 101-250 and 250+. Players in 1-10 will be given $200,000, and players in 11-20 will be given $100,000. The classification continues as the rank changes.

For instance, Hubert Hurkacz is the number 1 player in Poland, but on the international board, he is ranked 11. Therefore, he will be given a participation fee, which classifies him as number 1 first, then in the group of 11-20.

The payout for the winners at the 2024 United Cup

The prize money received by the winning team will depend on their performance in the matches. A team that reaches and wins the final undefeated can earn a player up to $883,385, a great sum to start the year. Further, the participation fee guarantees the player some form of compensation for their performance in the tournaments. 

A breakdown of 2024 United Cup prize money

The final payout for each player in the United Cup depends on various factors. Each win in the group stage will earn a player $38,325 in singles and $7,200 in mixed doubles. To further sweeten the pot, if the team wins a group stage match, players will get a further $5,000. Similarly, a singles win in the quarterfinals will get the player $69,500 and $13,000 in doubles. Team wins will give them a bonus of $8,025.

For the semifinal, players will get $132,00 and $24,750 in singles and doubles. Bonus for team wins will get them $13,650. In the final, the whopping prize for singles win is $251,000 and $47,255 in doubles. The team winning the final will get them an additional $23,155.
