All Hallows’ Eve, the scariest night of the year, will be here in a few days. While a lot of people dress up as Roger Federer or Serena Williams to pull up their costume game. The 42-year-old Swiss tennis legend himself is not that much into Halloween. Despite his obvious enthusiasm for parties, Halloween is undoubtedly not one of his favorite occasions to spend with friends and family. Federer has a personal reason to feel this way.

When the 20-time Grand Slam champion was still competing in tennis over six years ago, he startled everyone with a shocking disclosure about his Halloween costume selections. Let’s look at what Roger Federer would have worn if he had ever attended a Halloween party.

Roger Federer once made a strange revelation for Halloween

Back in 2016, in an Ask Roger session, the Swiss Maestro responded to a lot of questions raised by fans. A video of that session was posted on Credit Suisse, in which he answered a very infamous question regarding his preferences about Halloween.

While you may never have seen him dressed up in a traditional Halloween costume, he disclosed the reason for his reluctance to dress up for the occasion. He read the question, that said, “What are you planning to wear in Halloween?”

To which he answered hilariously in just a few words. He said, “Nothing. Well, clothes, normal clothes.” He made his intentions about the event very clear, regarding how if he ever celebrates the scary occasion, he will dress up as usual and not as someone else.

Nevertheless, the 20-time Grand Slam champion is not that into celebrating Halloween. There is a 19-year-old rising sensation, Coco Gauff, who enjoys the scary eve as one of the best nights of her life. Recently, the 2023 US Open champion turned spooky ahead of the WTA Finals.

Coco Gauff celebrates Halloween ahead of time 

This year, Gauff won’t be able to celebrate Halloween with her family due to her participation in the year-end tournament. She took to her Instagram to share some amazing insights from her pre-Halloween celebrations. She was dressed as Freddy from ‘Nightmare on Elm Street.’

Along with that, she also shared some scary pictures with her family and captioned them “Your worst nightmare.” She styled herself scary as she put on a fake hand with long nails to light up the Halloween theme. Subsequently, black boots and a hat complimented her look to the fullest.
