Recently, former American player Andy Roddick posted a video where he explained the art of racket smashing in his own funny way. He also said he got only one point penalty in his career for racket smashing because of his own unique way. It seems like Nick Kyrgios didn’t particularly like the content, as he posted a tweet. Also, he talked about former female players speaking about Emma Raducanu, which he didn’t like either.

“What?s with old retired players giving their opinion on our stars now? I love A-rod and I agree we all need to chill with the rackets and all that, but geezus, I read an article about a past female player talking about radacanu, no offence but she is a far far bigger name already,” Kyrgios Tweeted.

The Aussie player probably referred to Daniela Hantuchova, as the format Slovak player criticized Raducanu in a recent interview. According to her, Emma is losing respect from the players in the locker room because of her continuous defeats.

Also, a few of the ATP players have been smashing their rackets on the tour quite frequently now, including Kyrgios. A few days back, American tennis player, Jenson Brooksby, almost hit a ball boy, as he threw his racket carelessly. Everybody remembers the Acapulco incident involving Alexander Zverev, where he almost hit the chair umpire.

Kyrgios received a big fine from ATP for the Indian Wells incident

In the quarter-final match against Rafael Nadal at the Indian Wells, Nick played really well. Unfortunately, he lost that match and threw his racket on the ground, which took a crazy bounce and almost hit a ball boy. Although he apologized to the ball boy, he didn’t receive any sympathy from ATP.

ATP slapped him with a $25,000 fine where $20,000 was for the racket incident and $5,000 was for using foul language. Right now, the Aussie is playing well and will face the Italian player, Fabio Fognini today in the round of 32 match at the Miami Open. Fans are hoping for another classic, as both players have some extra flares.
