If you’ve heard the phrase “Love Hurts”, Roland Garros is the right place to find the perfect example. Coco Gauff is hitting the glorious clay courts of Paris with a new doubles partner this time. While Katerina Siniakova proved to be a strong ally for the young American, she made fans burst into laughter with a drastic mistake in the mixed doubles.

Siniakova is leading the mixed doubles path hand in hand with the love of her life, Tomas Machac. While she appeared to be quite cautious during her women’s doubles participation with Coco Gauff, having her boyfriend beside her on the court might be a different feeling altogether. During the opening mixed doubles match against Jan Zielinski and Hsieh Su-Wei, the WTA star hit the ball in a manner that caused damage to her side of the court.

Recently, a glimpse of their mixed doubles showdown started to captivate the attention of fans on social media. In the short clip, Tomas Machac can be seen being hit by a shot attempted by his own doubles partner and girlfriend Katerina Siniakova. While his rapid response was to cover the target area of his head, he pretended to be fainting down on the clay court, giving fans a huge burst of laughter.

In a recent interview, the Greek tennis star was asked about the reason behind his participation. Tsitsipas, completely taken by affection, gave a new definition to it. “Well, it’s all because of love. Yeah, it is if you think about it… On both sides. It all has to do with love and getting to combine love and tennis is quite exceptional,” he said.

The duo of Tomas Machac and Katerina Siniakova had to face a defeat in their opening match. Even after they had to walk out, the couple left a memorable mark of love in the ongoing event.
