Notably, this will be Serena Williams’ last tournament, as she already announced her retirement. A video recently surfaced on social media, where we saw both the players sharing a heartwarming moment.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal has also started practicing at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, along with Serena and other players; he is vying for his third Grand Slam this year and his 23rd. Notably, the crowd gathered in large numbers to see Serena and Nadal practice.
Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal share a heartwarming moment at US Open 2022
Earlier, the official Twitter handle of the US Open 2022 shared a video where Serena and Nadal hugged each other during their practice session at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. You can see the video clip below.

As seen in the video, Serena was leaving the stadium, as the Spaniard just entered the arena for his practice session. Notably, the official Twitter handle of the US Open earlier posted the news about them practicing at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. Hence, the crowd gathered in large numbers to witness the two legends.
It is worth noting that Serena named her dog after Nadal, as the Spaniard was her favorite player. Earlier in the Wimbledon Championships, Serena also wished Nadal all the best for his campaign at the Grand Slam event.
Players are getting ready for the draw of the US Open 2022
On 25th August, all the men’s and women’s players will know their opponent as the draw will be out officially. Interestingly, along with many players, fans will also look forward to the draw, as people are particularly interested in one player, i.e. Serena Williams.

Safe to say, Serena will also keep one eye on the draw, as a favorable draw will help her go further in the tournament. As for Nadal, his biggest threat will be the Russian, Daniil Medvedev, the defending US Open champion.
As Novak Djokovic has confirmed his withdrawal, Nadal will be the favorite once again along with Medvedev. In the women’s draw, world no.1, Iga Swiatek is also eying her first US Open title, after her triumphant victory at the French Open earlier.
