Who’ll seal the deal in 2025?
Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz are ready to roar for their nation at the 2025 United Cup
Both these stars had an outstanding season in 2024. Coco Gauff finished the year winning the title at the WTA Finals. On the other hand, Taylor Fritz reached the final of the US Open and the Nitto ATP Finals this year. Can they carry forward this momentum in Australia and bring fruitful results for Team USA? Time will tell! However, before that, we heard both the players sharing their thoughts ahead of their campaign at the 2025 United Cup.

Taylor Fritz said, “I’m looking forward to it. [The format] has changed a bit over the years; the year that we won, we could use our team’s depth a lot more to help us. Now a lot more things can go wrong for the favorite team when it’s just one [singles] match each and a deciding mixed doubles. So I’m still excited to play. I’m glad that Coco’s here this year.”
“We’re both coming off a good year-end. And it’ll be our second time playing together. So hopefully, we can do even better than the Olympics,” said Gauff. “This will be my first time playing the United Cup, so I’m super excited to kick off the year in Australia. It’s always an honor to represent my country. It’s a really cool event. I had a lot of fun playing mixed doubles at the Olympics, so I kinda want to do that again. I’ve never been to other parts of Australia, other than Melbourne. I don’t know what city we’re going to play in yet but I’m super excited to go whether it’s Perth or Sydney,” said Gauff. Who do you think will win this year’s event?
