It seems Pickleball Slam 3 will be filled with a ton of action. Before the February 2025 encounter, the mind games have already begun, as the two competing teams are taking fun jabs at each other. Tennis legend Andre Agassi and his wife Steffi Graf are all set to face Eugenie Bouchard and former American ATP pro-Andy Roddick in two months’ time. And it appears Roddick is leading the charge when it comes to hilarious trash-talking against the famous couple!

For the unversed, Roddick previously took a jibe at Agassi, accusing him of snubbing him, as his pickleball partner, for his wife Steffi. In a video from the official account of The Pickleball Slam, the 2003 US Open winner said, “It’s a weird thing for me to just totally carry Andre to victory and then he kind of just kicked me out of the event. I guess that what happens when you have a wife who is the best of all time as an option.”

Remember, Agassi and Roddick played as partners in the first season of Pickleball Slam in 2023. They beat John McEnroe and Michael Chang to win the title nearly two years ago. In the second season, however, Agassi has teamed up with his wife Steffi. On the other hand, Roddick has found a new partner in Eugenie Bouchard.

In a brand new clip shared on Instagram now, dated December 21, Roddick can be heard saying a lot of hilarious things, as he describes the team of Agassi and Steffi Graf. “Andre and Steffi’s team in this year could be ‘The Bald and the Beautiful’, ‘Steffi Graf and Her Husband’, ‘Steffi Graf and F***face,” Roddick said in the clip.

It’s evident that Roddick has gone full throttle with his trash-talking, trying to build pressure on his opponents before the big match in February. But he isn’t the only one doing that. His partner Bouchard is also not holding back.

Just as Roddick is trying to spice up things ahead of their match next year, Eugenie is backing him up. In recent years, the Canadian tennis star has shifted her focus from tennis to pickleball. Last month, she took to her Instagram account to take a dig at Agassi and Graf.

Bouchard shared a post in which Agassi and Graf were talking about her and her stronghold in pickleball. “Genie is been really playing well this year, you know taking it professional. I think to jump from Tennis to pickleball, you know, is not an easy transition,” she said. To this, Agassi added, “They (Roddick and Bouchard) are great competitors on top of being everything.”

While Bouchard acknowledged their words, she didn’t miss out on adding some flavors to their remarks. Replying through an Instagram story, she wrote “They’re so nice I don’t wanna have to beat them in Feb!!😩”

Well, that’s quite a way to put the pressure back on your opponents, isn’t it? But Agassi started this banter by targeting Roddick earlier. Talking about the pair of Bouchard and Roddick, he said, “She (Bouchard) has learned how to manage her blood pressure and nerves and energy right… I think the plan is to always go after the weakness so I think we’re going to play her as little as possible. We’re going to check Andy’s oil.”
