Another shocking update from Paula Badosa! It has been quite a while since the WTA star has been struggling with her form because of injuries. Out of all the elements that made her an entertaining player, her relationship with the ATP star Stefanos Tsitsipas stood as an adorable chapter of their story. But the couple has reportedly marked an end to that chapter.

In a recent Instagram story, Badosa shared that she and Stefanos Tsitsipas have sadly decided to split up. “After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably part ways,” she wrote, putting an end to the expectations of ‘Tsitsidosa’ fans.

Along with giving out the saddening update, she mentioned that both of them would prefer to continue their journey as friends. “We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths,” Badosa added.

The shift from a trending couple to being ‘friends with mutual respect’ happened in a blink. Back at the World Tennis League last December, Badosa partnered up with Aryna Sabalenka to dominate the courts and Tsitsipas was seen rooting for her passionately like a superfan. As a video of this surfaced on social media, the comment section was flooded with ‘couple goals’ responses from the fans.

Badosa has also appeared at Tsitsipas’ games, cheering on from the sidelines. The two were one of the rare tennis couples to play a doubles match together at Wimbledon last year, after which they confirmed their relationship. But later when it was time for the Greek to go solo, Badosa said, “It’s different kind of nerves. Watching it from the outside, maybe I get a little bit more nervous, because I cannot control it. But I’m happy that he got the win, and it was a crazy match.”

Now that both of them have parted ways to look to focus on their tennis careers, it also aroused the intrigue of fans about the reason behind it.

Why did Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas split up?

The recent update from Paula Badosa came out as a shock for many tennis fans across the globe. The words from the WTA star included how they still respect each other, asking for privacy along with urging for a deep understanding from the fans.

While no part of her update included any hints of the reason behind their separation, it stands to be a mystery for the fans. Ever since Paula Badosa incurred an injury, she has been navigating through intense struggles in her professional career. On the other side, Stefanos Tsitsipas has been presenting a dominant form, as he made it to the finals in Monte Carlo as well as in Barcelona.

While it could have been hard for them to admit socially, a gap between their forms could be a possible reason for their split up. As the couple has decided to give no leak from their end, it is about time that they could open up about the good memories and the reason for their split-up.
