Well, friendship played a significant role for some players in choosing their partners! Player Maria Sakkari felt Ajla Tomljanovic was her choice as they are very good friends. Daniil Medvedev also selected his childhood friend and biggest tennis buddy Andrey Rublev as his hiking partner based on their strong bonding.
