Jannik Sinner has been keeping the spotlight on himself ever since the current season began. The young Italian started off great with an immense victory over Daniil Medvedev to secure his maiden grand slam title at the Australian Open. While the victory made him unstoppable, he also captivated the attention of fans as well as co-players with victories in Rotterdam and Miami. Reflecting on his current form, WTA star Jasmine Paolini recently came up with a unique definition for Sinner.

Paolini, who stunned Ons Jabeur with a remarkable 7-6, 6-4 victory at the Stuggart Open, took time to express her feelings about the young Italian. After the match which confirmed her place in the semi-finals, she was asked whether Jannik Sinner’s massive run inspired her or not.

Being an Italian herself, she expressed pride over her compatriot’s multiple feats, saying, “He inspires me and everyone who plays tennis. It is good not only for our country but for everyone in general.” Defining how she currently views Sinner and his form, she added, “Jannik is making sensational results, I think he is not human (laughs).”

The fact that the young Italian’s magic is working isn’t just limited to the players. Along with them, the 22-year-old has also constructed an immense fanbase, especially among the Italian crowd. A glimpse of this was clearly visible when the tennis star entered the Monte-Carlo Masters arena where he was welcomed with loud cheers and a huge crowd gathered just to witness their favorite star.

The passionate cheers heard during each of his matches in the Masters tournament also added examples of his massive fanbase. However, it isn’t just the Italian who sings praises of the Australian Open champion.

Days after losing to Jannik Sinner in the title match at the Australian Open, Daniil Medvedev came forward to mention how the young Italian is getting strong, match after match.

“Earlier the matches (against Sinner) were tough, but he could miss here and there, breakpoint, miss a serve, a forehand. Now it doesn’t happen. Even if he does, he’s going to come back with a good shot, “ he said, analyzing the consistent growth in Sinner’s potential.

Admitting to the strong force that the 22-year-old is, he added, “You need to be at your absolute best when playing him.” As Sinner continues to emerge as a strong force along with gaining recognition from co-players, it still remains to be seen how far he extends his growth.
