Love is no longer in the air for Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas. After presenting their fans with ultimate couple goals for a year, the celebrity tennis couple has called it off. While Badosa’s statement echoes the pain of missing “many cherished moments together”, the couple has implemented a method to “move forward ” on their paths as “friends with immense mutual respect.”  

Two recent social media tweets have sparked the speculation of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa’s break up. One reliable fan recently shared a screenshot on their X (formerly Twitter) platform where fans spotted these two tennis stars not in each other’s Instagram friend list anymore.

This news spread rapidly on social media after another fan confirmed it on X (formerly Twitter). Clearing the fans’ confusion, Paula Badosa went straight to her Instagram story to announce that she and Stefanos Tsitsipas had broken up. This Spanish WTA star wrote- “After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably part ways. We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths. We are grateful for the support of our friends, family, and all who have been part of our story,”

On the other hand, Tsitsipas revealed that he met Badosa at the Indian Wells Tie Break Tennis last year. In his words- “Tie Break Tens is pretty much where we met first time. So it has, you know, a sentimental type of value for us and I hope we can do many more in the future.” Their relationship always showcased the couple’s goals for their fans. This separation news has surely landed their fans in sheer sadness.

I’ve been at the top and it’s tough to see myself at the bottom right now.” Badosa was defeated by Jessica Bouzas Maneiro at the Mutua Madrid Open 2024’s first round.

On the other hand, Stefanos Tsitsipas who won the Monte Carlo Masters dropped his first match at the Madrid Open 2024. So, this breakup seems emotionally exhausting and impactful for this Greek ATP star too.
