The “Tsitsidosa” fandom is in an uproar. After disheartening news on Instagram revealed that Paula Badosa has split up with Stefanos Tsitsipas, the tennis world is experiencing a wave of shock and sadness. However, a few hours before the announcement happened, a slight hint on the subject caught the attention of fans.
The “Tsitsidosa” Instagram account and WhatsApp channel have provided a constant source of heartfelt updates on the beautiful moments of their relationship. But just six hours before Badosa announced her split up with Tsitsipas, both the account and the channel were deleted! This led to speculation about the status of the tennis power couple. And soon enough, the dreadful news surfaced on Badosa’s Instagram.
The Instagram account, “Tsitsidosa” was created last year after they officially announced their relationship to the public. And soon, the pictures of their adorable and fun moments on and off the courts captured the hearts of their fans. But by September, the couple seemingly deleted all posts from an account that back then had almost 96k followers. Even then, speculation rose against their breakup. But waving away all the rumors, they declared that they were still together. But this time, it was different.

This news comes just before the commencement of her participation in the Rome Open tournament. Badosa has not performed her best this season because of persistent injuries. But such is not the case with Stefanos Tsitsipas. He not only won the Monte Carlo Masters earlier this year but also reached the final of the Barcelona Open. However, amidst all the professional success and setbacks, their relationship came to a disappointing end. And the deletion of the “Tsitsidosa” account further solidified the end of an era. But remember last year when she labeled her relationship with Tsitsipas as “incredible”?
“We have an incredible relationship,” Paula Badosa once said in an interview last year
The couple first interacted back in the Rome Open tournament in 2023. And since then, their relationship has weathered many storms. While on-court, they have played doubles matches together, off-court, both have encouraged each other during their tough phases. And even when Paula Badosa was suffering from back injuries, Tsitsipas was always there to support her. And when she was asked about their relationship, she had an adorable answer.

In an interview last year, she stated that, “I want to be with him [Tsitsipas] as long as he wants. We have an incredible relationship. First of all, we are best friends and I think that is very important.”
But sadly, apart from seeing them together on different occasions, the absence of their adorable pictures on Instagram will also create a void among all of us.
