The whole sports community came together to celebrate the victory of ‘La Roja.’ In the FIFA women’s world-cup finals between England and Spain, the latter lifted the cup for the first time in history. Team Red ended the match 1-0, an impeccable way to win their first world cup ever. Spain’s champion, Salma Paralluelo, 19, was awarded the best youngest player of the tournament.

The Spaniards across the tennis fraternity celebrated the win and congratulated the maiden champions through their social media handles. Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal expressed their take on the win soon after the game ended.

The spine-chilling match between La Roja and the Lionesses was the debut final for both teams. Spain won the World Cup after 13 years, as the Men’s team won against the Netherlands, with the same score as this year, 1-0. However, England Men’s won their first FIFA finals in 1966 and hasn’t won one ever since.

Nadal took to his Instagram story to congratulate the Women’s team for their success. He wrote, “iiii Vamossssssss!!!! Enhorabuena. iiii CAMPEONAS DEL MUNDO !!!!”?which means ‘Come on! Congratulations, world champions!’ Alcaraz expressed his pride for the Women’s team on his Twitter by writing, “VAMOOOOOOS!!!! ENHORABUENA CAMPEONAS! ??? Orgullo de!!”?

While their messages are almost similar, the ATP No. 1 added ‘Orgullo de,’ which means ‘Proud of you.’ Another WTA champion too expressed her regard for Spain’s Women’s team.

Paula Badosa took to her Twitter and posted, “Campeonas!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vamos! enhorabuena chicas ??.”?which translates to ‘Champions! Come on! Congratulations, girls.’ The tennis world is wild with excitement, wonder, and praise as the Women’s team nailed it out on the court by defeating past world champions to reach the title.

Badosa is now recovering from her injury and hasn’t played a single match since her walkover at the Wimbledon Championships.
