Coco Gauff’s last Grand Slam triumph came at the US Open last year when she defeated Aryna Sabalenka by 2-6,6-3,6-2 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. That was the day when the world started to recognize her true potential at the bigger stages of the game. Almost 4 months passed since that historic feat. What’s ahead for Coco Gauff shortly?

John McEnroe is very confident about Gauff’s success in the upcoming days. He said, “You know, I look at Coco a little bit like Alcaraz against some of the bigger hitters. It’s similar with her. She’s not as big as the other players and but she’s extremely athletic, the way Alcaraz is. I expect her to win more Majors. She will definitely win more majors. She seems to be in a good place. Mentally, she added some pieces to her team such as Brad Gilbert and is working with Andy Roddick and you can see the improvements on her serve.”

Coco Gauff will take on the defending champion at the semifinals of the Australian Open at the Rod Laver Arena. Can the 19YO stop Sabalenka from winning her second consecutive final appearance at the AO?
