Despite being at the peak of her career, all is not going well for World Number 6, Ons Jabeur. Earlier this month, the Tunisian went down against Marketa Vondrousova of the Czech Republic in the final of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. A stellar run, which saw Jabeur defeat the likes of Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka ended on a sour note. Additionally, Jabeur’s defeat was her third Grand Slam final loss in her five previous major appearances.

Last year, she made it to the final at Wimbledon and the US Open. However, she suffered disappointing defeats in both tournaments as her quest for a Grand Slam title continues. Recently, American tennis legend, Jimmy Connors revealed Jabeur’s weakness during big moments.

Connors feels that there is one major problem hindering Jabeur’s quest for a Grand Slam title. Talking about this, he said, “You know, I think she’s been in three finals and out of the last five or six grand slams if I’m not mistaken. And you know, playing some good tennis but but she stalls. Yeah, seems that she stalls when she gets to the final.”

Moreover, he also added, “I guess it was what, two or three years ago where, you know, I’m not gonna say you jumped on the Ons Jabeur bandwagon but you picked her for you know, for a while to really start breaking through and making a name for herself. And she sure has done that.”
