It has been quite an eventful year for Stefanos Tsitsipas. While he has seen the highs of winning the Monte Carlo Masters, the Greek tennis star also has had an inconsistent run across other tournaments. Moreover, his off-court troubles haven’t helped his cause either. A few days ago, reports emerged that Tsitsipas broke up with his girlfriend, Paula Badosa. However, in a sensational u-turn, the 25-year-old has made a stunning revelation.
During an interview with SDNA, Tsitsipas confirmed that the two have gotten back together. He mentioned, “We’re together. I will explain why some people make up different stories about us. Not that I care, but I think people shouldn’t take it that way. Neither Paula did anything wrong, nor did I do anything wrong. It was hard for us being apart and I was going through some hard times too.”
Badosa had a similar sentiment when she originally announced the news. Right person, wrong time? Caught up in their professional lives, the lovebirds were clearly finding it difficult to maintain their personal ones. Although Badosa went on a three-match winning streak right after she announced the split, the change hit her hard. Tsitsipas, too, struggled. But he had an epiphany about his romantic relationship too.

Further, he went on to add, “I realized that this relationship I have with Paula is completely different from any other relationship I have had in the past, I feel that she is my person and we understand each other. And that puts more value in everything I do and I want her by my side as often as possible. So yes, we’ve reconnected and we’re in good shape!”
Despite Tsitsipas making this admission just hours ago, many saw it coming. Just days after announcing their breakup, the two were spotted together in Paris ahead of the French Open. Additionally, they also visited a Greek restaurant and enjoyed their meal there. Their confirmation of getting back together will be a major boost to the power couple ahead of the clay-court Grand Slam tournament. The emotional setback that Badosa revealed in her saddening breakup admission might be healed now.

How did the breakup admission affect Paula Badosa?
Earlier this month, the Spanish tennis beauty dropped a major update about her relationship with Tsitsipas. Taking to her official Instagram handle, Badosa announced that she was splitting with her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas. She revealed, “After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably part ways. We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths.”

Further, she also explained how emotionally draining the past few days were for her in the lead-up to her breakup admission. She continued, “The tennis level is there, but I need to recover emotionally, Every week is a disappointment. I’ve been at the top and it’s tough to see myself at the bottom right now.”
Nonetheless, the two have got back together just in time as the second major tournament starts later this week. Can Tsitsipas and Badosa shine at the French Open after sorting out things in their personal life? Let us know your views in the comments below.
