Fans witnessed quite a unique mixed doubles pair at the Wimbledon Championships 2021 – seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams and Australian player Nick Kyrgios. As the two won their first-round match against Austin Krajicek and Sabrina Santamaria at the Grand Slam, Venus’s sister, Serena Williams, expressed her happiness over their win.
After their first win at the Wimbledon Championships 2021, Venus Williams posted multiple pictures of her with Nick Kyrgios. Surprisingly, she also wrote quite a distinctive caption for the same.
“Can doubles be a trio, please???? I’m blessed with the best partners,” wrote Venus in the caption of her Instagram post.

Interestingly, 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams also commented on this post. She expressed her desire to be there with the two of them and in the middle of the hug.
“I feel I should hobble out there and be in the middle of the hug,” commented the American legend.
Serena Williams injured herself during the first round of the Wimbledon Championships 2021 and then withdrew from the major. As a result, her chase for the 24th Grand Slam title still continues.

“Nick Kyrgios, betta watch out. I’m a jealous partner,” added the former World No.1 player.
As of now, Nick Kyrgios has not withdrawn from the mixed doubles category at Wimbledon 2021. However, there are doubts whether he will be able to serve properly in the match against fourth-seeded Nicole Melichar and Edouard Roger-Vasselin, keeping in mind that he injured himself during his singles clash against Felix Auger-Aliassime.
