“She was the hardest to win,” Andre Agassi once said about Steffi Graf, his legendary wife! The 8-time Grand Slam champion has never shied away from expressing his love for Steffi, famously telling People Magazine in 2007, “She is a lady of a few words, and her actions speak volumes.” Now, 24 years into a strong, steady marriage, Agassi has opened up about what a perfect date night looks like for them. No grand red carpets or flashbulbs: just love, laughter, and family time. That’s Agassi’s modern romance!
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have built an ideal family life with their children, Jaden and Jaz. Jaden has been in a loving relationship with Catherine Holt for over two years, with the couple frequently sharing sweet moments online. Jaz, though more private, recently posted a touching birthday tribute to her boyfriend, Parker Aquino.
In a recent interview with US Weekly, Agassi revealed that his ideal evening includes not only his wife, 22-time Grand Slam champion Steffi Graf, but also their two children, Jaden and Jaz, along with their respective partners.

“We had a great date night the other night where it was me, Steffi, my son, and Catherine, his girlfriend, and Jaz, our daughter, and her boyfriend Parker, and it was like a triple date and we all just went out and sat and talked,” Andre said. The former World No. 1 talked about his satisfaction regarding the positive familial bond he and Graf share with their children, explaining that Jaden and Jaz are treated as equals and their views are valued.
“We feel like peers around them, we respect them, we seek their opinion on things, they’re not hesitant to ask us our perspective on what they’re going through, so it really feels like a healthy season in life,” Agassi continued.

Agassi and Graf’s love story began in 1999 and blossomed into marriage just two years later in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas. Soon after, they welcomed their son Jaden in 2001 and daughter Jaz in 2003, all while nurturing the bond that kept their romance alive. In a 2006 interview with Freundin, Graf revealed that even though their time alone became rare after their children were born, she would always deeply cherish simple, heartfelt moments like sharing a glass of wine by the fireplace at home.

“Well, yes. I think every person has a romantic bent. Mind you, since we have our children Jaden Gil and Jaz Elle, it is admittedly rather seldom that Andre and I have time totally alone for each other. And when we do, then we enjoy it classically, for example with a good glass of wine in front of our fireplace at home in Las Vegas,” the WTA icon said.
On the other hand, Agassi shared his vision of romance, favoring intimate candlelit dinners or watching sunsets together. Yet, he quickly emphasized that the real essence of romance for him went beyond grand gestures. “Whereby for me romantic means much more than a candlelight dinner or watching a sunset,” Agassi said, highlighting how trust, connection, and shared activities formed the true backbone of their love story.
Continuing their tradition of shared moments, the 8-time GS winner recently explained why he and Graf never play pickleball against each other. For them, being on the same side of the court strengthens their bond rather than testing it.

“We’re much better together,” Andre Agassi opens up about not playing a Pickleball game against each other
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have long been one of tennis’s most beloved power couples, both boasting legendary careers in the ATP and WTA, respectively. Graf retired from professional tennis in 1999 at the height of her powers, having claimed 22 GS titles, the most in the Open Era at that time across both men’s and women’s tennis. Agassi followed a few years later, ending his celebrated career with eight Major titles in 2006. While the pair has largely remained private since that time, their recent foray into pickleball has thrust them back into the public eye, but they avoid playing against each other.
In the same US Weekly interview, Agassi said, “We’re much better together. When we’re against each other, she drops her level and I drop mine. We spiral downward against each other. With each other, we help,”
