The Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) debuted in 2020 and is famous for its unconventional way of playing tennis. The players and audience have more freedom, and champions can interact with each other during the play. The final at Frankfurt proved why UTS is more entertaining and how players can express their thoughts and exchange lovely, striking conversations.

The French coach left no stone unturned in creating a positive and healthy space for fan-player-coach interactions. The finalists at Frankfurt pocketed the opportunity to its fullest as they showered love on each other. This conversation between the UTS finalists is one of the rarest, most loyal, and purest forms of affection amid a sport driven by individual rivalry.

The post-match conference of UTS Frankfurt finalists Andrey Rublev and Grigor Dimitrov left fans in awe as the duo displayed unyielding love for each other. Rublev expressed, “If I was a girl I’d be completely in love with Grigor. No, even being a man I am in love with Grigor.” Touched by the Russian’s words, Dimitrov said, “Rublo, I love the way you wear your heart on your sleeve man. I think everyone would fall in love with you.”

The bromance left every tennis fan falling for their love as Rublev concluded, ”We would finish with a romantic dinner today.” The Bulgarian is no less. He went all poetic as he said, ”With rose, petals, and candles.”

UTS participants have their respective nicknames. Rublev played Andrey ‘Rublo’ Rublev, and Dimitrov was Grigor ‘G-Unit’ Dimitrov. The final match at Frankfurt was no less than a thriller. The gripping match was a perfect blend of competition, sportsmanship, and, of course, bromance! Despite being a UTS debutant, Rublev stole the show and oozed massive Marvel vibes with his title.

Dimitrov and Rublev share a perfect head-to-head record, with 3 wins each in their previous 6 encounters. But the Bulgarian defeated the Russian in their last two encounters. So, the 25-year-old joked that he prefers off-court Dimitrov to the on-court one. But Rublev earned his revenge, and with the Thunderbolt in his hand, he looked tailor-fit to win the title.

UTS made its statement not only with the rules but also its title. Call it vintage or trendy, but Marvel fans witnessed the Thor of tennis when Rublev held the Thunderbolt like he was born for it! The two-time Grand Slam champion, Victoria Azarenka, too, delivered her verdict through ‘X,’ as she tweeted that Rublev holding Thunderbolt is one of the coolest photos she has seen.
