Serena Williams and Venus Williams are not only known for their remarkable contribution to tennis but also for their off-court style statements in different events! One such incident occurred during the Gucci Spring 2025 menswear fashion show in Milan recently. Fans and followers were not the only ones amazed by their looks! Mesmerized by Venus Williams’ outfit and appearance for the event, Reilly Opelka couldn’t help but share his candid response on Instagram!

The 43-year-old former World No. 1 graced the event with a white shirt (short one) and a white skirt, with shoulder-length straight hair. Along with that, she also wore an oversized brown suit, completing her sleek look. Sharing pictures on Instagram from the event which she attended with Lyndea Price (half-sister) and Serena Williams, Venus Williams made waves on the internet. As thousands of fans commented on the post, Reilly Opelka’s ‘Wow’ further added a new layer of enthusiasm among fans. 

Interestingly, this is not the first time that the 26-year-old American tennis pro and Venus Williams have turned heads in the tennis world. A few days ago, a similar incident occurred during the Milan Fashion Show of Prada’s summer 2025 menswear collection as well. While her stunning white and silver outfit became an instant hit among fans, Opelka’s similar style in brown and white captured everyone’s attention. Besides sharing her solo pictures in the outfit on her X,  Williams also shared another picture of her sitting beside Opelka during the event. 

Naturally, fans went gaga over the resemblance in their appearance. Williams and Opelka started making headlines after they were spotted together frequently both on and off the court a few years ago. Apart from that, even in Venus’ posts on social media, Opelka’s comments of appreciation for Williams have frequently raised doubts about whether they are dating or not. 

However, during a Q&A session on Instagram, she put a rest on the rumors and said that they were not dating. But, once again, there is a stir in the tennis community regarding their rumored relationship. It all started in 2021 when Venus Williams showed up during several matches of Opelka. During that time, Opelka also said that he learned a lot from the seven-time Grand Slam champion.

Reilly Opelka reflects on his off-court bond with Venus Williams

During an interview with Inside Tennis, Reilly Opelka opened up about the off-court demeanor of Venus Williams. Apart from sharing a common interest in art, Opelka, who is an ardent admirer of Williams, addressed how her “fierce” nature on-court is “extremely different than anyone else.” 

Opelka further reflected on her off-court friendship with Williams and added, “She’s hilarious – she has a great sense of humor. I enjoy being around her and learning from her. I learned more from her than any other active player.” Opelka has been absent from the tennis court as he is healing from injuries. Although he played at the Charlottesville Challenger last year, in 2024, the American has not been back on-court. However, off the court, his friendship with Venus Williams has once again captured the attention of tennis fans!
