Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal is currently enjoying his holidays with family and friends. Safe to say, Nadal has had a great 2022 season, as he won both the Australian Open and the French Open.

In a recent interview, the 36-year-old talked about the definition of talent, as he believes whoever wins the most has the best talent. Certainly, Nadal has proven to everyone over the years how talented he is. After Nadal’s statement, Serena Williams’ former coach echoed the same ideology, as he praised the Spaniard’s statements.
Patrick Mouratoglou agrees with the statement made by Rafael Nadal
Nadal‘s recent comments about talent caught the eyes of many fans and experts. He said, “In tennis, as in any sport, the ultimate goal is to win. So, for me, the summary is clear: the one who wins is the one with the most talent.”
Later, Serena Williams’ former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, posted a story on his official Instagram account about Nadal’s comments. In that story, he said, “I agree 100% with this statement! Real talent is the ability to reach one’s goal.“

Notably, the French coach has coached Serena Williams for many years and enjoyed immese success on the tour. The American tennis player was probably the most talented player he has ever coached. Certainly, her Grand Slam tally can prove that, as she won 23 Major singles titles in her career, second most in the sport’s history. Currently, he is coaching another former world no.1, Simona Halep, who has won 2 Grand Slam titles in her career.

Nadal started his preparation for the US Open in a unique way
Speaking about talent, Nadal is currently showing his talents away from the tennis court, playing golf during his holidays. Moreover, he had the best score out of any players in the recent golf tournament.

Before the US Open, Nadal could play in Montreal at the National Bank Open, as a way to gain match-fitness before next month’s US Open. Earlier, he missed a chance to win Wimbledon. However, his chances of winning a 23rd Grand Slam title have gone up with his great rival Novak Djokovic likely to miss the event.
