Can Jannik Sinner's poise on the court truly surpass the legendary Federer and Nadal? What do you think?

Ever since his Australian Open victory took place earlier this season, Jannik Sinner has been the talk of the town for the enormous talent that he showcases. At the recently concluded US Open, he once again proved why he is the best player in the world right now, dominating his opponents throughout the entire event. Owing to his impressive season, the 23-year-old has been consistently drawing comparisons to legendary players like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Now, while Federer was ice-cold on the tennis court and calmly made his way to the top throughout his career, Nadal, on the other hand, mixed fire with the never-say-die attitude that made him stand out from the rest; however, Serena Williams’ former coach, Rennae Stubbs, feels that Sinner is a mix of both Nadal and Federer as he possesses a combination of qualities that the duo have had.

Yesterday, a new episode of The Rennae Stubbs Tennis Podcast was released in which she compared Sinner to Federer and Nadal. Stubbs added, “He I mean, I think the great, great, great players they don’t like react when they miss a shot or whatever. I think he’s arguably the most like quiet, non bulls**t, not complaining player I’ve ever seen play. He misses a ball that he should make, and he just turns around and walks the other side. It’s unbelievable how he handles adverse moments in matches, like, even Roger sometimes would, like, shake his head, or, you know, whatever, Rafa would sort of gesture sometimes. But oh, my god, Sinner is like the poker player you want playing for you.”

Sinner displayed the perfect example of what Stubbs described during his US Open win over Taylor Fritz in the summit clash. While he was aggressive during points, Sinner also maintained his cool during crunch moments, which resulted in his straight-set win. While Stubbs may be comparing Sinner with Federer, the latter was a strong critic of the Italian star over his doping ban.

Roger Federer breaks silence on the doping result of Jannik Sinner

The Italian star’s doping result came as a shocker to the tennis world and left them divided. Many bigwigs like Nick Kyrgios and Federer called out the authorities for differential treatment after Sinner escaped a ban for failing doping tests. During an interview, the Swiss maestro made his displeasure felt.

He said, “It’s not something we want to see in our sport, these types of news, regardless if he did something or not. Or any player did. It’s just noise that we don’t want. I understand the frustration of: Has he been treated the same as others? And I think this is where it comes down to. We all trust pretty much at the end, he didn’t do anything.”
