‘Pass the Sycophant Test’ – Martina Navratilova Hits Back at a Donald Trump Supporter for Over-Hyping His Tennis Skills to the Likes of Roger Federer, Andy Roddick and Others

Former Czech-American tennis player Martina Navratilova is currently covering the US Open as an expert and commentator for Amazon Prime. Recently, she sent a farewell message to Serena Williams, as she played the final match of her career at the US Open.

Apart from expressing her views on tennis, she often posts about her political views as well. Recently, a Donald Trump supporter named Nick Adams took to social media and posted about Trump’s tennis prowess, which Navratilova did not like, and slammed him for that.

Notably, Adams, who is also an author, compared Trump’s tennis prowess with the likes of Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, and Andre Agassi. Moreover, he did not like that the legendary tennis player Serena Williams is getting all the attention during the US Open.

After noticing this tweet, Martina Navratilova took to Twitter and wrote, “Now we know for sure you are certifiable. And a cult member – congratulations – you pass the sycophant test with flying colors #uttermoron” 

Navratilova further commented on the post, “Btw Nick- where #TFG is hitting that shot from, he is toast. Point going to the opponent… but that’s beside the point. You are the Olympic champion of sycophants in any case- congratulations!!!“

It is worth mentioning that this was not the first time Navratilova has destroyed a Trump supporter on Twitter. Additionally, she also never misses an opportunity to mock the former President of the United States.

Earlier, former American tennis player Andy Roddick also mocked Mr. Adams for posting about Trump. He jokingly said, “You forgot that he’s also fitter than Rafa.”

Navratilova posted a heartfelt message for Serena Williams

Recently, Serena Williams lost in the third round of the US Open, which was her last match. Many former and current players sent farewell messages to Serena after her emotional journey. As mentioned earlier, Navratilova was also one of the former players who sent a farewell message to Serena Williams.

In her message, she talked about Serena having an amazing career and praised the 23-time Grand Slam champion. Interestingly, she did not say goodbye to Williams as others did. Instead, she wants to see Williams making a comeback in the future.

Incidentally, Williams never said the word ‘retirement’ when she wrote the essay for Vogue magazine. Nevertheless, she is getting lots of farewell messages from many sporting stars and former legends, which will most likely make her proud of her achievements.
