However, notably absent from his list were two of his biggest rivals in tennis, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Novak Djokovic came across the question of who the GOAT sportsperson is during an interview with BBC Sport. To which he answered, “Hard to pick. I will probably name a few. Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Muhammad Ali, Usain Bolt, Serena Williams”.

However, the exclusion of Federer and Nadal from his list raises intriguing questions about the complex dynamics of rivalry in professional sports. Djokovic, Federer, and Nadal, collectively known as the “Big Three,” have dominated men’s tennis for well over a decade. Djokovic raises the question of the criteria to call a player the GOAT
During the same interview, he was also asked who is the GOAT tennis player according to him. To which he answered that he wants to know what are the criteria which are used to decide who the greatest of all time is. Is it because of the results that are delivered by which he meant the statistics?

Or the impact a tennis player has made on the sport counts. He further adds that there are different factors that come into play, and not just one. Further, he concluded by saying that he is anyway happy that there was a discussion about this.
