It was the 2023 US Open. Novak Djokovic, fresh from winning the first two Grand Slam titles of the season and making it to the Wimbledon final, was hoping to dig deep in the tournament. Eventually, he defeated Daniil Medvedev in the summit clash to make it three major victories out of four in 2023. Although Djokovic has ruled the ATP Tour in 2023, he hasn’t received enough credit for his efforts. Often, the crowd at the tournaments could be heard cheering against him. Here’s what Macci had to say about Djokovic.

During a podcast, Stubbs revealed that Djokovic had the perfect way to handle the hostile crowd. During such a situation, tempers can flare, but Djokovic used a unique way to face them. It showed the great mentality of the Serb, which Stubbs pointed out.

Highlighting his unique way, Stubbs said, “Novak’s not flipping the crowd off. But he’s doing the opposite. He’s egging them on.
