The 7ft 2 inches, American basketball legend, Kareem Abdul Jabbar has played 20 seasons in NBA. During his 19-year-old career, he has won 6 NBA championships. He also became a record 6 times NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP). Recently, a video came up which portrayed him outclassing all his opponents during his high school days. Two years back this NBA legend took a jibe at the Wimbledon for their rule change on the dress code. He once bashed John McEnroe for showing his support for Novak Djokovic regarding the COVID-19 vaccination which had once stirred a major controversy in the tennis world.
He wrote, “While McEnroe worries about Djokovic’s career, he doesn’t worry about the fact that Djokovic knowingly mingled with the public when he knew he was infected with the virus. How much illness and possibly even deaths was he responsible for? What about the careers—not to mention health and lives—of people Djokovic could come in contact with in America.”
After Serena Williams‘ retirement in September 2022, he admitted he’d miss seeing the American tennis icon on the court. He said, “Serena Williams is one of the greatest athletes to ever live. Watching her play tennis is a joy for all tennis fans. But especially for me because I can appreciate the tremendous effort and sacrifice it took to get her to that exalted level.”
