The 28-year-old Australian professional tennis player featured prominently during UTS in Los Angeles. He could not play at the tournament because of a wrist injury. However, he did make it all the way to LA as he took charge of coaching Frances Tiafoe.

During the interviews at UTS, Nick expressed that tennis is a very demanding sport. As a result, he does not see himself continuing as a professional tennis player in the years ahead. American tennis icon Tracy Austin dished out her disappointment at Kyrgios’ vision along with her hope of what a tennis pro should want to feel.

Tracy’s comment aggravated a controversial response from Nick Kyrgios as he responded in just a couple of hours. He pointed out the fact that it is not luck that brought him to the pinnacle of tennis but his hard work. However, the conversation did not end there as another Twitter user joined the conversation.

After Nick’s comment gained a lot of views, one of the users on Twitter minced no words as he commented on his response to Tracy. The comment hinted at Kyrgios’ natural talent and the tennis training he received from an early age. It also brought up Kyrgios’ earnings. Unsurprisingly, the Australian responded, and he was at his sarcastic and cynical best.

A cascade of cynical barbs started soon after, and the user also referred to Kyrgios’ “athletic ability”. The user’s point was to prove that Kyrgios also inherited his physical abilities that make him such a threat on the tennis court.

Kyrgios stopped the critic in his tracks by savagely stating how he “worked out” to get to the top of tennis and the user “didn’t”. And yet again, Kyrgios proves that he will continue to be himself; one of tennis’ most enigmatic and controversial personalities.

Kyrgios operates without a coach, which is almost unheard of in pro tennis these days. To make matters worse, his lifestyle choices in the past have been questionable. During his candid confession in the interview, Kyrgios reflected on his ‘drinking and partying’ habits. According to the Aussie, inside, he already feels as if he is 57 years old.
