Nick Kyrgios is known for his unfiltered takes. He never misses an opportunity in expressing his raw thoughts on burning topics. At the moment, the tennis world has been hit with an unexpected news of Iga Swiatek’s doping situation. On Thursday, the former world no. 1 shocked everyone, revealing that she tested positive for anabolic steroid. It’s worth noting that this news comes just months after a similar case involving Jannik Sinner – who received a mix of criticism and support. Among the criticizers was Kyrgios. This time again, Kyrgios didn’t waste a second in sharing his blunt opinion. Nick shared a harsh take on Swiatek – the way he had for Sinner. However, things became got interesting when a hardcore Sinner fan tried to mock Nick on social media. But the next thing Kyrgios did was something the fan will regret!

Nick took to his X account on Thursday soon after learning of Iga Swiatek‘s doping situation. Reacting to the Polish star, also involving Sinner, he wrote “OUR SPORT IS COOKED”. His post was an indication of disappointment he had. Simply because both the players mentioned they weren’t aware of how they got a prohibited substance in their bodies. After Nick Kyrgios dropped his post, one avid fan of Jannik replied to him. ““our” sport mf you don’t even play”, they wrote. In other words, they took a jibe at the Australian, who’s been out of action due to injuries for almost two years. Nick didn’t waste time and came up with his perfect answer. “Playing the aus open? When’s the last time you played a professional tournament god social media has given peanuts a voice… hilarious”, he wrote in his response, dated November 29th.

Nick Kyrgios makes his only wish for new season after Swiatek tests positive for doping

Since the news broke out, it has only caught more fire with everyone sharing varied reactions. But Nick knows what and when to say on a given situation. On X, he responded to a post asking for bold predictions in 2025’s season. Giving his blunt remark, the Australian wrote, “That our world number 1’s won’t fail drug tests.” It’s not a hard task to figure out that he was pointing towards former world no.1 Swiatek and current no.1 Sinner. The latter has previously received a harsh criticism from Kyrgios, earlier this year.

Back in August, it was revealed that Sinner tested positive for doping. But the ITIA cleared him to play after finding out that he didn’t intentionally take the prohibited substance. Nick couldn’t stop from sharing his honest reaction on this verdict. He wasn’t happy with the ITIA’s overall approach. “Ridiculous – whether it was accidental or planned. You get tested twice with a banned (steroid) substance… you should be gone for 2 years. Your performance was enhanced. Massage cream…. Yeah nice,” he wrote on X.
