After Casper Ruud, her younger sister Charlotte Ruud is now ready to follow in their father’s footsteps in the world of professional tennis. The 17-year-old who’s been already on the ITF tour had earlier started training at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca, Spain. Now, she looks forward to moving to Tampa, Florida, to start her new chapter.

The current world number 7, Casper Ruud has also been a part of Rafael Nadal’s Academy. Now, the Norwegian superstar is under the supervision of his father, Christian Ruud. Being a top 40 player on the ATP Tour in the past, Christian Ruud currently serves as the main coach of his 24-year-old talented son. With the racket sport running in the blood of the Ruud family, the youngest daughter would now surely like to capitalize and make the most out of their experience.

Charlotte Ruud is an immensely talented youngster who’s on the verge of launching herself onto the bigger stages of the game. She’s as hungry as his brother to learn and excel in the racket sport. Once, Casper Ruud had shared his thoughts about his sister’s potential to make a mark on the sport. He had revealed that Charlotte often goes to WTA Tournaments around the world to witness the best in the game. Ruud added that her sister is very keen to watch the top players train, and she always tries to read their games from the stands. Now she has become a part of one of the oldest women’s teams at school.

Charlotte Ruud has recently signed up with the University of South Florida to play tennis and embrace the colors of Green and Gold. The University of South Florida runs a program (South Florida Bulls tennis program) of men’s and women’s teams. The teams compete in the American Athletic Conference with NCAA Division I. Now, with this addition, USF would like to build a partnership and pave the way for this rising talent.

Casper Ruud, the highest-ranked Norwegian in the history of the sport has high regard for her younger sister. He even trains her from time to time and he’s quite surprised to see the rapid progress in Charlotte’s game. While on the subject of his sister’s growing prominence, Casper Ruud talked about her style of play, comparing it with their father.
