Over the past couple of weeks, the news of Matteo Berrettini and Ajla Tomljanovic’s split has been doing rounds on social media. While there is no official confirmation from either of the two over the status of their relationship, Berrettini’s recent outing with Eugenie Bouchard and Amanda Anisimova sparked fresh link-up rumors on Twitter.

As Bouchard posted a series of photos on her Instagram stories explaining the fun night they had as a group, social media began to buzz around a couple of photos featuring Berrettini and Anisimova.

As soon as the photo was uploaded, it received widespread attention and even sparked speculations over a relationship between the two stars. However, Anisimova was quick to respond and denied any relationship with Matteo whatsoever.

This is actually crazy. It’s the first time I’ve ever talked to Matteo and even Genie. I just went to some places with my friend in the beginning, and we were all with Dave.”

The American star was clearly miffed by the ongoing speculation and advised fans to make better use of social media.

It’s actually sad how much unnecessary drama is created by people on social media, do something good with it instead. Look at what’s going on in the world, instead of making up stupid sh*.”

Anisimova and others had a fun time last night with Dave Grutman, who owns several restaurants in Miami. Coming to tennis, both Anisimova and Berrettini were out of Miami Masters. While the Italian withdrew from the event due to an injury; Anisimova lost her opening-round match to Shelby Rogers in three sets.

After struggling to find a break-through last year on the WTA tour. Anisimova made a solid start to the 2022 season by winning the Gippsland Trophy in Melbourne. Later, the American star went on to reach the pre-quarters at the Australian Open after defeating the likes of Belinda Bencic and Naomi Osaka.
