Serena Williams’ former coach Rennae Stubbs recently shared an interesting clip on her official Instagram story. She actually shared the ATP Tour’s post clip, where post-match Nadal’s opponent Pedro Cachin was spotted making an adorable request to the legend. He said- “Rafa you have fulfilled a dream for me, thank you. I don’t know if the protocol allows it, Can I keep your shirt or something of urs?” To its response, Nadal said “Ofcourse.” 

After that, the ATP legend took his spare uniform and walked back to Cachin to give it to him and hug him. ATP Tour’s official Instagram page shared this heartwarming clip with the caption, “Once in a lifetime souvenir 💙”

Since, the ATP Tour posted about this emotional moment between Rafa and Cachin, many tennis fans adored Nadal’s humble gesture. Stubbs not only shared the clip but added a crying emoji that perfectly showcased the fans’ feelings about seeing Nadal’s fandom on the professional court. While the Argentinian ATP star lost the match, Nadal’s gift to him surely made his day a lot better than any mere victory.

The 37-year-old ATP legend bags another victory at his last venture at the Mutua Madrid Open 2024. This 22-time Grand Slam winner won three consecutively matches at the tournament. He defeated Pedro Cachin by 6-1, 6-7(5), and 6-3 to reach the tournament’s fourth round. It has been two years since the Spaniard reached the fourth round of an ATP Masters 1000 event. Nadal who is probably leaving his racquet professionally after the Laver Cup in September achieved this feat after his US Open 2022 participation.

Rafa seemed delighted but he pointed out his drawbacks. Post-match he said-“Some moments good, some moments not good. I fought good and found a way to be through. In the third set, even with some mistakes, I was able to be a little bit more unpredictable and that probably changed the match. It was a great test, and now let’s see how I wake up tomorrow,”
