The US Open is one of the biggest tournaments in the United States. The stage is set for an exciting couple of weeks ahead. Like other tournaments, the US Open is striving hard to enhance the fan experience. Recently, it announced a new partnership to boost fan engagement at the last Grand Slam tournament of the season. The new features of the latest addition were explored by both Andy Roddick and Amanda Anisimova.

Further, fans will be fortunate to witness some of the biggest and exciting prospects in action. The tournament will also mark the return of Venus and Serena Williams, two of the biggest names in American sporting history. It will be the latter’s last tournament of her professional career.

 

US Open partners with IBM

The tournament, on its official Twitter handle, announced a partnership with IBM to improve the fan experience. It said, We’ve partnered with  @IBM to create all-new digital platforms for the 2022 US Open.”

Further, it added, @AndyRoddick & @AnisimovaAmanda share the new AI & Cloud powered features that enhance the fan experience on the US Open app and usopen.org.”

One of the new features at the tournament will be IBM collecting data points regarding the players’ on-court performances. Subsequently, it will predict the winners based on those data points collected.

In the video shared on the official Twitter handle of the US Open, Andy Roddick and Amanda Anisimova share the new features at this year’s US Open. Fans will look forward to catching a glimpse of these features as the US Open gets underway in a few hours.

The 20-year-old hasn’t been granted the easiest of draws at this year’s US Open. She will take on World Number 38, Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan in the opening round of the tournament.

Anisimova, who is the 24th seed in the tournament, will face the winner of the match between Sofia Kenin and Jule Niemeier in the second round. Kenin is a former Australian Open champion and French Open finalist.
