Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter are busy personifying tennis couple goals! Minaur recently defeated America’s Sebastian Korda 6-2, 6-4 at the final of the s-Hertogenbosch, NL. A few hours later, his girlfriend Katie Boulter came back from a set down to defeat Karolina Pliskova by 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 at the Nottingham Open. Although she managed to defend her title in Nottingham, the British number one looked a bit annoyed with her boyfriend stealing away all the limelight.

The couple was seen in a heartwarming banter on social media after their victories. Seeing her emphatic triumph over the former world number, Alex de Minaur quickly put up a post on his X account stating, “How did that happen again 🤯🤯🤯🤯 @katiecboulter You are a joke! #doubletrouble.” Replying to his post, Katie Boulter later on wrote, “Just let me have the limelight for once by myself geeez 🙄😅😘.“

As their conversation would provide a clue, this isn’t the first time that both of these tennis stars witnessed a title triumph during the same week. March saw a similar event, as Alex de Minaur won the Mexican Open, while Katie Boulter won the San Diego Open. After his victory in Acapulco, Alex de Minaur was asked if he was really going to be joining the celebration party. Replying to this question, he quickly stated, “No, I cannot because I’ve got a 6 am flight to go to Tijuana and go and watch Katie play in the final so I’m looking forward to that.”

However, this time, he didn’t get the chance to see Boulter lift her trophy from the front seat. The British tennis star didn’t forget to fire a warning his way in the on-court interview after the match. She said, “My boyfriend didn’t make the trip even though I thought he might after his win in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. We will have to be talking about that tonight and see if we’re gonna still be together. I hope he’s listening to this because we’ve got some talking to do.”

Alex de Minaur has now moved up to the number 7 spot in the men’s singles ranking with his recent triumph. Katie Boulter (31), on the other hand, is now on the verge of breaking into the top 30 in women’s singles ranking.

Their support possibly played a big role in their success, as Katie Boulter thanked the Aussie for taking time out of his busy schedule and taking the flight to San Diego earlier this year. She stated, “I want to say a small special thank you to my boyfriend who finished last night at midnight and I really want to embarrass him. He got on a 4:15 taxi this morning and 6 o’clock flight to be here today. So I do appreciate it.”
