Kalinskaya and Hon are on a sensational campaign in Brisbane. The duo have depicted incredible skills and have qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament, after ousting Chan Hao-ching and Lyudmyla Kichenok in the doubles category. But what followed after the match was rather interesting and hilarious as the duo took social media to reflect on their match. Taking to her Instagram story, the Australian star shared a video from the first set of the match when it was tied at 6-6. 

In the video, Hon can be seen leading the charge and shooting most of the winning shots. When a tactical shot fired by her helped the pair gain a lead in the tiebreaker, 3-2, Kalinskaya was seen clapping and lauding her teammate. And now, she expressed her admiration yet again for her colleague. Resharing the video on her Instagram story, Jannik Sinner‘s girlfriend, Kalinskaya wrote, “I’m on court just to clap 🤣,” hilariously highlighting how Hon captured the limelight through her remarkable skills. This, meanwhile, also signals another strong camaraderie evolving on the tennis circuits and this is not the first time when their friendship has come to light. 

Kalinskaya ensured to include her Australian friend in her New Year Celebrations. In a story shared ber the Russian WTA Star on her Instagram, she was seen posing for the camera with Priscilla Hon. While Kalinskaya was seen in a satin blue co-ord set paired with a white T-shirt, Hon wore a black pantsuit paired with a same-color corset. Her latest story, meanwhile, is further emphasizing their strengthening bond. 

As for her professional endeavors on the courts this year, Anna Kalinskaya seems to be quite excited. However, she is also determined to make some changes, and it is not completely related to tennis.

Anna Kalinskaya depicted immense potential last year. She gradually moved up the points table through her consistent gameplay and is currently placed at the 14th spot. But as she looks forward to improving herself and winning more accolades, Kalinskaya seems to have goals set in her mind, as revealed by herself in an interaction with Harper’s Bazaar in December 2024. 

Speaking in the interview, Kalinskaya said, “I think [the key is to] change some things in my life — not training, but adjust a little bit my lifestyle to make it more simple, enjoy things on my off days to have a good balance. And have a better schedule to know when you can see your friends so you can be happier outside of the court. I can get recharged, so I can compete better and have more energy, and be better mentally.” Kalinskaya’s remark is also shedding light on the maturity levels that she has amassed through competitions last year.

For now, she seems to be dedicated to her campaign in Brisbane. Will her camaraderie with Priscilla Hon help the duo clinch the doubles title? Well, that remains to be seen.
